oh my it's almost winter

So I thought, stupidly, that this was the slower time of year for photographers around here. I was wrong. And blind sided! No really, I should know better.. should have paid closer attention last year. But I honestly thought that it was just my getting started and revved up business.
It's been crazy.. wedding albums need to be done, senior portraits print deadlines are next week, models need portfolios, and families need their holiday and new year's cards and photos done by let's say... next week.
But I love this time of year, and I love that it's busy! Last winter I was getting ready to buckle down into a beach house alone and this year I am in the bustling city that is Portland :) 
This winter I really want to work on marketing for maternity and newborns. I have 2 this upcoming week!

This past week I stayed busy by doing a family shoot up north, a shoot for The Makeup Shop on Monday, a shoot with Ms Teen Maine International on Tuesday, a Halloween shoot on Wednesday, and finished the week off with an in studio kid shoot on Thursday!
This week should be lighter and hopefully brighter and I can make my own holiday cards for the season!
